Drove myself to the ER with a hellacious stomach flu. Luckily they gave me the antinausea meds before sending me back to the waiting room for the last hour plus.

Post pics of sleepers please. They're my favorite ... And I'm sleepy.

UPDATE: The antinausea meds work wonders, and they gave me an IV to rehydrate. Got a prescription for more of the meds. Heading home to bed now.

Thanks for the well wishes, and the pics everybody.

It was a ride in an '87 Turbo T that cemented my love of sleepers.

Last time I had the stomach flu, was Kindergarten class picture day. I stayed home from school but my mom drove me at the end of the day to have my picture taken with my class. Right after I had my picture taken, I got back into the back seat of my mom's rosewood brown metallic with blood red velour interior 1992 Honda Accord LX Sedan and puked all over the back seat. And I have the photo to remember that awful day. Feel Better, Ive been there. Have a High Performance Accord Similar to the one my mom drove that fateful afternoon.

Thanks! I sat on a towel and brought a barf bag just in case. I didn't want to mess up the mouse fir seats in my truck.

I've had the flu this badly a couple times in the past. The last time was 10 years ago, and I learned not to mess around with it. I'm insanely dehydrated, and cannot wait for an IV and some ice chips. Fortunately the antinausea meds have kept me from barfing again. Still in the waiting room, been a couple hours now.

Ya, the stomach flu is nasty stuff. If you ask, they should be able to give you some ice chips. That has been my experience in ER waiting rooms at least. They dont mind giving you any non medicinal help while you wait, especially if you are obviously feeling awful. Last Time I was in an ER was for when I had an anaphylactic reaction to Sesame Seeds. The manufacturer of some crackers had it well hidden in the ingredients list, it took 4 people to find it in the sea of other ingredients and by that time it was too late. So That was immediately life threatening, I didnt have a long wait. Just sit tight, theyll get to you. They are probably switching over from the night shift staff right about now, I'd make sure you didnt get lost in the shuffle. Ask somebody when you can see a doctor.

Good, what drugs did they give you? Anything good? Lol, In all seriousness what works best for me as an anti nausea medication is levsin. That stuff is a miracle drug. If that's what they give you, make sure you don't get the sublingual. While it works quicker, it can make your tongue numb.

They gave me Zofran. Worked great. Waiting for my prescription of it now, then heading home. Feel 1000% better, although I can't wait to get back to my bed.

Nice ones, thanks! Love the dog dish hubcaps. I remember reading about that Fairlane in Car Craft years ago.
